After exploring the lure of the wild, society's flaws, and the effects both have on the brain and body, it can be concluded that the wild indeed can offer benefits that you will never find in civilization. There are countless positive experiences and lessons you can take away from living in a natural environment, while society has been found to be deeply flawed. But, despite the overwhelming amount of evidence that the best way to lead your life is in the wilderness, this is an unrealistic notion. It would not be sensible for us to tear down our cities, rid ourselves of all possessions, and disperse into the remaining wilderness we have left on this Earth. It would be stupid to reject all of the progress humans have made and the ability to do seemingly impossible things with technology. But, that doesn't mean we can't still make changes. Our proportions of technology time to time outdoors is ridiculously off. We need to find a happy medium where we can enjoy the luxuries of civilization while still reserving time to bask in nature's solitude. The residents of America's busiest cities can still find a way to live in harmony with nature, and even reap benefits from both.
